Our library, which is named after Sedrick Huckaby’s grandmother Hallie Beatrice Carpenter, is donation based. New book donations are always welcome. View our Amazon Wishlist for specific books we are hoping to acquire. We are also interested in the following types of books:

  • books about artists of color, female artists, and Texas-based artists

  • fiction and nonfiction books written by authors of color, female authors, and Texas-based authors

  • books on themes of history, community, and nature
